The Community Foundation of North Texas serves the North Texas region so that people with philanthropic interests can support issues they care about - now or through their estates. As a Community Foundation, we help individuals, families and businesses establish charitable funds using a variety of assets. Founded in 1981, CFNTx is currently among the top 12 percent of community foundations in the nation. There are over 700 community foundation nationwide. The Community Foundation of North Texas has assets over $160 million.
How do we work?

The Community Foundation of North Texas holds permanent and pass-through funds for over 162 individuals and families and makes grants in: arts and culture, community and economic development, education, environment, health and human services. Since inception, the Community Foundation has distributed more than $100 million in grants to benefit worthy causes and because we are “place-based,” our decision makers are right here in the North Texas area. We currently serve an 11-county region in North Texas.
