2011 Investment and Financial Report

As stewards of the charitable resources entrusted to it, CFNTx's Investment Committee takes its job very seriously. We have a diligent investment process. Our investment policy may be found here. Financial information is provided on our website in an effort to be transparent and accountable to our community. The Investment Committee meets quarterly throughout the year. A copy of our IRS determination letter may be found here.

 

Form 990 and Audit Reports

Our Form 990 may be found here. Form 990 is the informational "tax return" filed with the IRS by organizations that are exempt from federal income tax.

Our audited financial statements for 2011 may be found here. The Community Foundation publishes an abbreviated financial statement in its printed annual report.

 

Investment Information and Options

CFNTx is a charitable organization and is not a commercial money manager. The Community Foundation's longstanding practice allows donors to select an allocation pool from Luther King Capital Management or to invest with Commonfund.In addition, for funds over $500,000 other money managers which the donor suggests may be considered. All investments adhere to the Community Foundation's investment policy.

Individual donors may choose one of the following four allocation models.

Investment Performance

In keeping with the perpetual nature of the Community Foundation, CFNTx monitors investment performance with a view toward long-term return. We currently use Commonfund (www.commonfund.org) and Luther King Capital Management (www.lkcm.com) for investment management. Commonfund investment performance data may be found here.
